Candid assessments of planned, but delayed, Center City office properties, a potential overcrowding of the multifamily market, and the fate of lagging suburban markets are highlights of the program. These and other pressing issues will be discussed in a town-hall style presentation led by a panel that includes Anthony Hayden of Beacon Commercial Real Estate, Brandywine's Gerard Sweeney, Carl Dranoff of Dranoff Properties, Lewis Gantman of Kravco and Mike O'Neill of Preferred Real Estate Investments. The session will be moderated by GlobeSt.com national online editor John Salustri

Liberty Property Trust's new CEO, William Hankowsky, will be interviewed by GlobeSt.com's editor-in-chief, Michael Desiato, who holds the same post with Real Estate Forum magazine. Hankowsky will delve inside the real estate mind to discuss lessons learned and the intersection of life and business.

Some of the area's biggest corporate tenants will reveal their current strategies as a bumper crop of leases are about to expire. Local economists William Dunkelberg, professor of economics at Temple University's school of business management, and Joel Naroff, chief economist for Commerce Bancorp, will share insights on the local and national economies' impact on real estate markets here.

Between the keynote address by Dean Adler of Lubert-Adler Partners and the closing networking luncheon, attendees will get a comprehensive view of where the commercial real estate money is and where it's going and what opportunities and pitfall lie ahead for all market sectors here.

RealShare Philadelphia is one of seven such area conferences being produced by Real Estate Media across the country this year. They follow three, held during 2002 in Washington, D.C., New York and Dallas.

Why Philadelphia? "From a national perspective, Philadelphia is one of the best performing markets for commercial real estate now," says Kelley. "It's a good market with good people, talent and spirit -an area that is not only performing well for participants, but is also being discovered by outside investors."

The conference is held in conjunction with TriState Realtors Commercial Alliance and the local chapter of NAIOP. Sponsors include Advance Realty Group, Beacon Commercial Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield, Fidelity National Title, Fleet Bank, Fremont Investment & Loan, Grubb & Ellis, Legg Mason, Marcus & Millichap, Matrix Development Group, PECO Energy, Saul Ewing and Smith Mack/Oncor International. CB Richard Ellis, Colliers L&A, Equilibrium Equities and Lend Lease Real Estate Investments are hospitality sponsors for the conference.
