Taylor paid Orlando Central Park Inc. $906,000 or $226,500 per acre ($5.20 per sf) for the land. That was less than half what he paid for the 6.55 acres he bought in late 2000 for $3.6 million or $549,618 per acre ($12.50 per sf)--premium prices, area land brokers tell GlobeSt.com on condition of anonymity. J. Gary Castle of Orlando-based Castle Commercial Realty Inc., represented OCP in both transactions.

The new dealership will have a staff of 250 at its concrete-and-glass facility at Sand Lake Road and John Young Parkway, directly across from the 600,000-sf Sand Lake Commons shopping center.

Taylor has been in the auto dealership business since 1982. He owns 20 car dealerships and three Harley Davidson sales centers. Fifteen of his 20 car dealerships are Chrysler/Jeep franchises. He also owns Orlando Infiniti.
