Vegas 'Voyager' Gets County Go-Ahead

LAS VEGAS-A joint venture between Sahara Las Vegas Corp. and Voyager Entertainment clears a hurdle with the Clark County Commission's approval of the anchor venue for a 27-acre mixed-use complex.

LAS VEGAS-The Clark County Commission has given its blessing to the Voyager attraction, the anchor of a proposed development on the Las Vegas Strip. Entertainment-venue developer Voyager Entertainment International Inc. is behind the project, which eventually will front a 27-acre multi-use complex.

The land is owned by Sahara Las Vegas Corp. and is located directly adjacent to the Sahara Hotel & Casino. VEII is working out lease terms with Sahara that would entail both companies jointly designing and developing the master-planned resort.

The Voyager attraction itself is a cylindrical vehicle that will revolve roughly 560 ft above the Strip. One rotation of the contraption will last 27 minutes and the average ticket price will be $18.
