Located at 1940 Levante St., La Costa Glen's first phase consists of 54 two- and three-bedroom villas and 259 apartment homes situated on 25 acres in a park-like preserve. In addition, the project contains a clubhouse and recreational center, as well as 200 acres of dedicated natural space. The clubhouse features a formal dining room, private dining room, lounge, library and computer lab and billiards and card rooms, while the recreational center boasts an auditorium, exercise facility, swimming pool and spa, massage room, photographic dark room, ceramics lab and arts and crafts studio. Additional amenities include a putting green, croquet and bocce ball courts, horseshoe pit, lake, koi pond, gardens and walking trails.
Construction is currently underway on an 89,000-sf healthcare center here, which is slated for build-out in spring 2003. When completed, the healthcare complex will include a 70-bed, Medicare-certified nursing center known as GlenBrook. The facility will be equipped to provide 24-hour care and rehabilitative services, as well as dementia care in a separate Alzheimer's unit. Another facet of the 89,000-sf center will be the GlenView Assisted Living section, which will consist of 69 residential-style apartments set-up to serve those residents needing daily assistance with dressing, bathing and other routine chores.
