Klein's to Conquer New Market

JACKSONVILLE, MD-Plans for the building of a new Klein’s Supermarket move forward with the local grocery store chain’s selection of Manekin LLC to construct the $3.8-million development. The 37,000-sf store will sit on an 8.5-acre parcel of land at 143330 Jarretsville Pike. It will be the sixth Klein’s supermarket, and the first in Baltimore County. The five other stores are located in Harford County.

“There are few commercially-zoned areas in Long Green Valley and My Lady’s Manor, says Klein’s president Andrew Klein. “Consumers either cross the reservoir toward York Road or travel to the Harford, Joppa and Belair road corridors for shopping alternatives. The new location is more convenient.” Klein’s on Jarretsville Pike is being designed by Morris & Ritchie Associates Inc. and will sport the same added amenities as the other five stores, such as a pharmacy and an indoor coffee bar.
