DEDHAM, MA-The request for proposals put out by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to redevelop a 37-acre parcel that once served as a train yard on the Readville-Dedham line is generating significant interest among potential developers, officials say.
According to Joe Pesatura, a spokesperson for the MBTA, the agency has received “several responses” to its RFP to sell the property. “There is a lot of interest” in the site, Pesatura tells GlobeSt.com. Pesatura notes that whichever developer is ultimately selected will have to work closely with the city and the community to ensure that everyone’s needs are met with this development.
