First American is moving its main Austin office, one of 10 in the Austin area, in April as it begins a five-year lease. It exits 3824 Spicewood Springs Rd., also in the northwest submarket.
Russo tells GlobeSt.com that the Park space is being remodeled for First American, which wanted reconfigured office space with room to grow. Another new tenant, PlanView Inc., moved into 22,554 sf on the Park's first floor earlier this month.
Russo represented the building's owner, Maplewood Associates LP, based in Purchase, NY, in the negotiations while Rob Stern of Rob Stern Co. of Austin sat at First American's end of the bargaining table. The Park, built in 1999, is situated at the northwest corner of MoPac and Steck Avenue.
