McCreary comes to Tishman from Starwood, where he served for several years as a senior vice president of Westin Hotels & Resorts. As such, he was responsible for all Westin lodging properties in the Eastern US.

But his relationship with Tishman dates back to 1989, when he opened the Walt Disney World Swan Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL. The 758-room Swan is owned by Tishman Realty and MetLife, and is operated by Westin.

In 1993, McCreary went over to Sheraton to manage the 1,509-key Walt Disney World Dolphin, and when Sheraton and Westin were folded into Starwood Hotels & Resorts, he took over management duties at both properties.

In his new role, McCreary will oversee all business activities and operations, new business efforts and management contracts for Tishman Hotel Corp.
