The community will be located on the north end of the beach, less than two miles from Las Olas Boulevard, the city's cultural mecca and the performing arts center. Cornerstone has received the necessary approvals for the project, and demolition is scheduled for early this summer, according to Richard Lamondin, president of Cornerstone Premier Communities. Occupancy is slated for fall 2004.

Three consecutive motels will be demolished to make room for Vue. They are Beau Rivage Motel, Jolly Shores Motel and Ocean Hacienda Motel--all of which are currently occupied.

The units will overlook the beach and a park. The project will consist of five homes per floor, the majority of which will be corner units. The one-, two- and three-bedroom residences will range in size from 910 sf to 1,800 sf. Estimated pre-construction prices will start in the mid-$200,000 range.
