The community will be located on the north end of the beach, less than two miles from Las Olas Boulevard, the city's cultural mecca and the performing arts center. Cornerstone has received the necessary approvals for the project, and demolition is scheduled for early this summer, according to Richard Lamondin, president of Cornerstone Premier Communities. Occupancy is slated for fall 2004.
Three consecutive motels will be demolished to make room for Vue. They are Beau Rivage Motel, Jolly Shores Motel and Ocean Hacienda Motel--all of which are currently occupied.
The units will overlook the beach and a park. The project will consist of five homes per floor, the majority of which will be corner units. The one-, two- and three-bedroom residences will range in size from 910 sf to 1,800 sf. Estimated pre-construction prices will start in the mid-$200,000 range.
Vue is being developed by Cornerstone Premier Communities, the luxury residential division of The Cornerstone Group, a national multifamily residential developer. The temporary development office for Vue is located at 1933 N. Ocean Blvd.
The community will offer residents a private beachfront cabana club with direct access to the park. Other amenities include: a fully equipped fitness center, a pool and a sports lounge, as well as concierge and valet services. Individual residences will feature Italian kitchens and baths designed by Kobi Karp and designer finishes.
The Cornerstone Group, a large multifamily developer, is based in Coral Gables, FL. The company has several other projects recently completed or currently under development in South Florida, including La Perla Ocean Residences, a 42-story, 326-unit oceanfront condominium tower planned for Sunny Isles Beach, FL; and San Marino at Laguna Lakes, a 17-building, 355-unit, market-rate luxury rental community in West Palm Beach, FL.
