Back Yard Burgers, based here, operates and franchises fast-food outlets, most of which are located in the Memphis, Nashville and Little Rock, AR markets, with additional stores in 17 states. The company's 122 locations includes 42 company-operated locations and 80 franchises.
In addition to the agreement with Well Done Enterprises, 2003 expansion plans for Back Yard Burgers includes at least 21 new outlets, three of which will be run by the company. Five of those restaurants will be co-branded with Taco Bell stores under the company's Multi-Brand Development Agreement with YUM! Brands, Inc.
