ATLANTA-Planning for an economic upturn, Buckhead, GA-based Liberty Development Corp. is asking the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority to approve an estimated $200 million project in suburban Clayton County that would comprise 750,000 sf of retail; 100,000 sf of office; 100,000 sf of mini storage space; 442 apartments; 424 townhomes; and 263 single-family residences.

Called Ellenwood Township, the site is at Anvil Block Road and Interstate 675 near Grant Road, about 20 miles south of Downtown Atlanta. Plans filed with Clayton County planners also propose a 4,200-seat theater for the community. The commercial component will front the site with residential in the rear.
