While the parties involved have opted not to disclose the terms of the transaction, District Tax records indicate that the property was sold in late February for roughly $12.9 million. Those records also list the property's 2004 assessed value as just under $12 million.

Located in the city's thriving Central Business District, the nine-story limestone and brick edifice at 1808 Eye St. was built in 2000 and is just a few blocks away from the White House. The building also features street-level retail space, a part of which is occupied by Sun Tree Sunglasses.
