Bekins Buys Its Corporate HQ & Warehouse

HILLSIDE, IL-Bekins, a tenant at this location since 1990, decides to purchase its headquarters building and an attached warehouse. The firm anticipates saving millions of dollars over the next three years, as in comparison to its previous lease.

HILLSIDE, IL-The Bekins Co., a transportation and distribution services firm, has purchased its building and an attached warehouse that houses its corporate offices at 330 S. Mannheim Rd. in Hillside, a western suburb of Chicago. The firm had leased its 109,750 sf facility as its headquarters since 1990.

“Facility ownership should bring a very rapid return on our investment in the form of cash and profit-and-loss savings,” says Larry Marzullo, CEO of the Bekins Co. The acquisition was financed by LaSalle Bank.
