Duyn tells GlobeSt.com he'll have his land line in place at Macadam Forbes by the end of the week. He resigned from CB Richard Ellis on Friday.

"I needed a change; I needed to be reinvigorated," says Duyn, who had nothing but good things to say about CBRE. "The economy provided the opportunity to up periscope and look at other alternatives."

At Macadam Forbes, Duyn says he will continue to specialize in helping local and regional industrial clients find the space they need, he'll just be working for a smaller boutique brokerage and receiving "dramatically improved" commission splits.

Duyn says he considered opening Mike Duyn Real Estate Co. and to that end interviewed several independent contractors. Ultimately, he decided going to a small boutique was the easiest transition. Duyn says he chose Macadam Forbes because "the people were the best match."

Mark Fitkin, CBRE's Portland manager, tells GlobeSt.com he hopes Duyn finds what he wants. "Mike has been a significant producer for CB Richard Ellis for almost 30 years," says Fitkin. "I fully support his new endeavors."
