The law firm has leased 157,000-sf of office space at Foundry Square II, a 502,200-sf office building, which will be renamed The Orrick Building. The company will occupy the top four floors of the 10-story building, which is owned and managed by Equity Office and leased by Wilson Meany Sullivan LLC.
"Securing this lease was extremely important for Foundry Square II," says Robert Paratte, partner of Wilson Meany Sullivan, LLC. "We had established significant momentum at the project, but in today's economic environment, large users are rare. We put together a very attractive deal to secure Orrick as the anchor tenant for Foundry Square II, as they're the perfect fit for the esteem of the property and the environment we're creating."
The law firm's lease, along with recent commitments from CNA Insurance, Gordon H.Chong, and Flack + Kurtz, brings Foundry Square II, which is located at 405 Howard Street, to 55% leased.
Mike McAndrews and Bill Murray from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe represented the firm in this transaction. Robert Paratte represented the building ownership. While the details of the lease were kept confidential, sources reveal that the asking rate for the building ranges from $29 to $32 psf.
