Cypress Communications took 2,471 sf of class A space at the Esplanade Tower I in a move to downsize its operations, Gwen Musfeldt, with Cushman & Wakefield of Arizona Inc.'s Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com. Musfeldt said the company selected the 2425 E. Camelback Rd. office tower because of its proximity to the clients they service. The firm is moving from midtown at 2929 N. Central Ave.

The 11-story, 234,699-sf office tower is one of five high-rise mixed use buildings that form the Esplanade complex, located in the Biltmore area at 24th Street and Camelback. Cypress Communications will share the building, which is more than 90% occupied, with about 30 other tenants including Apple Computer and Unysys Corp.

Musfeldt, along with Jerry Jacobs, also with Cushman & Wakefield, represented Cypress Communications in the transaction. The building owner, Property Arizona OBJLW I Corp., of New York was self-represented in the lease negotiations.
