Internet Business Doubles Office, Staff

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-Arizona Business Online's owner is looking down the road when he can fulfill a dream of building his own headquarters. For now, he's settling into a new lease at the Scottsdale Executive Suites Office Park.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ-Just three years ago, Tim O’Leary started a small business in his garage with a handful of computer programmers. One year later, he moved the operation to an office above a pizza parlor. Today, O’Leary’s small start-up Web site, Arizona Business Online, has sparked a need for still larger offices.

After his Web site drew 108,000 visitors and almost 3.6 million hits during the first month of 2003, O’Leary moved the start-up firm into 2,500 sf of office space in the Scottsdale Executive Suites Office Park at 6220 E. Thomas Rd. and doubled the company’s workforce.

“We were just bursting at the seams in our last building,” O’Leary tells GlobeSt.com of the 1,100 sf that the company occupied above a pizza parlor at Thomas and Hayden roads. “We shopped around aggressively but in the 11th hour, when we almost had a deal, I ran into someone from Lee & Associates and they were very aggressive about capturing our business.”
