Developer Targets Niche Mountain Area for $42M Shelter Project

ATLANTA-Rymer Development of Cumming, GA plans to sell retirees and college students on a 109-acre site in Dahlonega, GA, where the company is proposing 160 apartments, 70 assisted-living units and 119 attached houses.

ATLANTA-New shelter ventures are coming to the North Georgia mountain area, about 60 miles north of Downtown Atlanta, where Cumming, GA-based Rymer Development plans a $42 million undertaking comprised of 160 apartments, 70 assisted-living units and 119 attached homes.

Rymer’s target buyers for the 109-acre project are retirees and students at nearby North Georgia College and State University. Houses would sell in the $160,000 to $200,000 range. The proposed development site is on a former music park at GA 60, near Downtown Dahlonega in Lumpkin County.
