Known as Santa Rosa Park, the project will encompass 5.3 acres at build-out. Design plans call for a lighted basketball court, tennis court, playground equipment, restrooms, a sizable grass area and two shaded picnic areas with barbecue facilities. Completion is slated for September of this year.
Santa Rosa Park is one of five parks that are either already completed or in the planning stages at McMillin Lomas Verdes. Three other parks have already opened in the master-planned community. They are the one-acre Alcala Park, which has a tot-lot and basketball half-court; the six-acre Cottonwood Park, which features a basketball court, tot-lot, soccer and ball fields, restrooms and grassy expanses; and the two-acre Breezewood Park, which includes a playground and turf area.
