Go Beam, which provides services that allow businesses to send voice and video signals over data networks, subleased 18,057-sf of class A space at 5050 Hopyard for about $1.20 per sf per month. CB Richard Ellis' fourth quarter 2002 report stated that the average monthly rate for office space in Pleasanton was $2.05 per sf.
According to Colliers International, the company signed the sublease with ADC Communications. Mike Copeland of Colliers represented GoBeam in the transaction. Gregg Hall of Cress Partners represented the sublandlord, ADC Communications. The master landlord is Chawin Properties.
ADC Telecommunications Inc., a Minnesota-based broadband communications company, put the space up for sublease due to financial difficulties resulting from the telecommunications industry crash.
"This is a consolidation of GoBeam's offices in San Ramon and Sunnyvale," says Mike Copeland, senior vice president at Colliers in Pleasanton. "This sublease marks significant absorption for this market."
Copeland also brokered a 50-month, 3,622-sf lease at 12657 Alcosta Blvd. in San Ramon to Synergy Relocations. The class A office space is located at Bishop Ranch 15 in Bishop Ranch Business Park.
Copeland represented Synergy Relocations in the transaction, while Rolf Jourgensen represented Sunset Development Co., developers of Bishop Ranch. The lease price was not disclosed.
