Thiel Logistics USA Inc. recently occupied a class A warehouse/distribution facility at 3200 NW 112th Ave. in Beacon Industrial Park. AMB Property Corp. owns the freestanding building.
The value of the lease was not disclosed. However, based on the average rental rate of $7.06 per sf for warehouse/distribution space in the Airport West submarket according to Cushman & Wakefield's year-end 2002 report, the mid-term lease has an estimated value of $1.8 million to $2.4 million.
"I'm happy to see another major player come into our market," Wayne D. Ramoski, a broker involved in the transaction, tells GlobeSt.com. "It's a positive sign that an international logistics company is coming to our market as well as the US."
Ramoski, senior director of industrial brokerage services in the Miami office of Cushman & Wakefield, represented Thiel Logistics USA in the lease. Dave Albert and Jose Juncadella of Codina Group represented AMB Property Corp., a real estate investment trust based in Boston.
