The move represents an expansion for Icon, a company founded in 1990 to provide clinical research and biometric services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Giant pharmaceutical Merck is a Pennbrook tenant along with Harleysville Insurance, Safeguard Business Systems and Metso Automation.

The campus is designed to accommodate as much as 750,000-sf of office and light manufacturing space. A newly constructed 40,000-sf, single-story office building in the center has 25,000-sf yet to lease, and numerous parcels are pre-approved and development-ready.

Jeffrey E. Mack, principal, and Shelley Wolf Harris of the Wayne, PA, office of Smith Mack/Oncor International represented the owner, locally based Dewey Commercial, in the transaction. Matthew Sall of the local office of Julien J. Studley Inc. represented Icon.
