3/19/03: As of this writing the official war in Iraq has not begun, but it likely will within the next 24 to 48 hours. The first and foremost concern is that it won't drag on for too long and that there is a minimum loss of life on both sides. This economy cannot withstand a long drawn out conflagration: the stock market won't sustain it, and consumer confidence, already at a 10-year low, will most likely sink further. Many surgeons today perform operations with minimal invasive techniques that require small amounts of recovery time. Let's hope the same can be said of this upcoming operation.
