Lehigh County Puts Two Properties up for Sale or Lease

PHILADELPHIA-Lehigh County, PA is putting two disparate parcels up for saleor lease. One is a 6.78-acre tract off Dorney Park Road; the other is a435-acre parcel off I-476 in Upper and Lower Milford Townships.

The Dorney Park Road property was slated for development of a Korea/VietnamVeterans Memorial, which is now located on property owned by Lehigh CarbonCommunity College. Jane R. Ervin, county executive says the Dorney Park Roadparcel “is prime property. I expect a great deal of commercial interest inthis land.”

The much larger property is known as Seem Seed Farm. The county will onlyaccept proposals that will maintain it as open space or for agricultural orrecreational use. “We’re committed to farmland and open space preservation,”Ervin says. “To do anything else with this large, rural property would notfit into that commitment.”
