Williams & Dame, Nearon Enterprises Vie for Waterfront Development

TACOMA, WA-The Foss Waterway Development Authority’s Urban Design Review Committee this week listened to the two finalist development teams outline their proposals for two waterfront sites that will front a public esplanade that will stretch along the entire one and one-half miles of the western side of the Thea Foss Waterway.

Portland, OR-based Williams & Dame, in partnership with Portland-based Gerding/Edlen Development Co., proposes 372 condominium units over 500 parking spaces, a 54-room boutique and 24,592 sf of retail space. The project cost is estimated at $114 million.

Danville, CA-based Nearon Enterprises, in partnership with Tacoma-based Waterway Properties, proposes a $45-million development that includes a 216-unit apartment complex, 471 parking spaces, a 124-room hotel and 32,962 sf of retail space.
