Liberty Mutual has inked a lease for 20450 NW Amberwood Dr. that starts with 8,157 sf and is expected to grow to 16,000 sf in coming months, according to local brokers familiar with the deal. The full-service lease rate is said to be around $16 per sf, not including owner concessions.

Grubb & Ellis brokers Dave Squire, Brandon Frank and Eric Haskins are the leasing agents for AmberGlen, which Birtcher Property Services developed and manages for State Farm Insurance. Buzz Ellis of Doug Bean & Associates represented Liberty Mutual.

"They are one of the few credit tenants that have been in the market this year and they looked eight or 10 properties," Frank tells GlobeSt.com. "Everybody chased them hard; it is a significant win."

AmberGlen Business Center is Oregon's largest business park with 217 acres and over 1.4 million sf in 24 buildings. The campus has 47 developable acres and includes class A office, R&D and light manufacturing space.

Three smaller AmberGlen lease deals also were signed in recent days.

Northwest Logic leased 3,591 sf at 1100 NW Compton Dr. and will relocate from 2460 NE Griffith Oaks in Hillsboro. Robert Grow with Integrated Commercial represented Northwest Logic.

Zhone Technologies leased 3,817 sf at 1100 NW Compton Dr. for their first office in the Portland region. The company was recently acquired eLuminant, a division of NEC USA. Zhone was represented by Jan Bottcher of CB Richard Ellis.

Cascade Semiconductor Solutions leased 946 sf at 1600 NW Compton Drive. Marcele Daeges of Windermere North Rim represented Cascade Semiconductor.
