The $20 million project will feature 107 loft units on 11 stories with expansive ceilings of glass, light, industrial steel I-beams, stained concrete flooring and balconies with perforated aluminum railings. A three-story parking garage for the building also is being constructed.

Loft units range from one-bedroom, one-bath condominiums to two-bedroom, a den and three-bath units. They range in size from 800 sf to 1,430 sf. Preconstruction prices begin at $185,000, while penthouse units with 20-foot-high ceilings start at $800,000.

The off-site sales center is located at the European Living showroom at 2860 N. Federal Highway.

The ground-breaking was coupled with the unveiling of Champion Motors' new Porsche Cayenne sport utility vehicle at an event at the construction site of NoLA Lofts attended by city dignitaries and officials, NoLA Loft buyers and Porsche owners, among others.
