Wharton Realty Buys 112,141-SF Shopping Center

MIAMI-Wharton Realty Group has purchased the Miami Gardens Shopping Center here from locally based FIRC Group for approximately $11.65 million, or about $103.89 per sf. The 112,141-sf shopping center, located at 183rd Street and Northwest 7th Avenue, is anchored by a 48,166-sf Winn-Dixie grocery store.

Among other tenants at the 96%-occupied center are: Family Dollar, Rent Way, Clover Leaf Insurance Brokers, Golden Crust Caribbean Bakery, Simply Fashions, Lucille Roberts, Perry’s Florist, Dots, Beauty Supply Dollar Store, Cellular Hut, 999 Shoes and several others.

The property also includes two out-parcel buildings. One is occupied by Jerk Machine, and the other is shared by two tenants: Blockbuster Video and R&R Sports. A 0.725-acre piece of land– approved for a 3,700-sf building–rounds out the site. Situated on a 12.9-acre site, the shopping center was renovated in 1997.
