$39M Engineering Lab in the Works at U of M

COLLEGE PARK, MD-The University of Maryland has made plans for a new addition to the campus with the impending development of a 155,000-sf Jeong H. Kim Engineering and Applied Sciences Building. Local construction firm The Clark Construction Group Inc. has come on board to serve as the contractor for the $39-million, multi-faceted engineering laboratory.

“This extraordinary opportunity will accelerate the school’s efforts in enhancing its research and educational programs and fostering new cross-disciplinary programs,” says the university engineering school dean Nariman Farvardin. “The establishment of this significant facility will help propel the school into the ranks of the premier engineering schools in the world.”
