The hiring approach by the Washington, DC-based hotelier is believed to be the first of its kind Florida's hospitality industry, local brokers tell GlobeSt.com. Marriott is setting up the online recruitment even as it reviews 3,500 unsolicited resumes received before the Internet program was announced, Marriott officials confirm. The hotelier is calling the twin projects Grande Lakes Orlando.

The 25-story JW Marriott and the 15-story Ritz-Carlton are being completed on 500 acres at the southwest corner of John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway in south Orange County. Marriott owns the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. The two hotels will offer 100,000 sf of meeting space, a 40,000-sf spa and a Greg Norman-designed, 18-hole golf course.
