"(Smith) is a proven business generator who has developed substantial relationships in the industrial sector," Peter R. Harrison, senior managing director of Cushman & Wakefield's South Florida operations, says in a statement. "Working together as a high-powered team, Brian and Wayne plan to tackle a growing number of large industrial sales and leasing assignments in the Miami-Dade and south Broward markets."

Smith began his career in the brokerage business at Alliance Commercial in December 1998. He specializes in selling and leasing bulk distribution centers. He has generated an annual average of $15 million in sales and leases.
"Brian is a successful, energetic broker who understands the market well," states Ramoski, a senior director with C&W who has more than 15 years' industrial brokerageexperience. Ramoski joined C&W in 1996, and in a recent six-week period, he did four lease transactions for a combined 300,000 sf, worth a total of about $5 million. His clients include real estate investment trusts and owner/users.
Last summer, Smith represented the bankruptcy trustee in the $3.7 million sale of the Fedco Distribution Center to RPM Warehouse. In 2001, he headed sales of Costa Corporate Center, a $13 million condo-warehouse development in the Doral area, which sold out in 24 months.
Smith recently was the recipient of the South Florida Business Journal's Industrial Lease of the Year award for representing 3PL of the Americas in its 138,000-sf lease valued at approximately $9 million at Beacon Centre in the Airport/West submarket.
