In conjunction with the sale of the Carlsbad property, Teknon LLC has inked a 10-year lease to occupy the building, which stands at 6349 Palomar Oaks. Teknon LLC was represented by David Onosko and Ron King of Coldwell Banker Commercial-North County Properties.

San Diego County's R&D market gained ground in 2002 with 420,640 sf of net absorption for the year, according to research by Burnham Real Estate Services. The Burnham report, which was released in late January 2003, also pointed out that "R&D vacancy is holding steady at 10%." And with just 294,000 sf of new R&D product under construction at the beginning of the year, the market shows no signs of overbuilding.
