"When an existing company decides to expand its operations in Virginia, it is one of the best compliments our state can receive," Gov. Mark R. Warner says in a statement on Evergreen's decision. "This rapidly growing company will bring 100 new jobs to the City of Richmond."

Both local and state organizations--including the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the Greater Richmond Partnership and the City of Richmond Department of Economic Development--participated in encouraging the company to make the expansion at its Richmond location. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance is on board to provide worker training.
