The 10-year lease is estimated to be worth approximately $7.92 million, based on the average rate in the building of $33 per sf. The firm will occupy one floor of the building, which totals 525,000 sf gross. Mellon Financial Center is about 80% leased.

Jack Lowell and Tere Blanca de Ulloa of Codina Realty Services represented Baker McKenzie and the property owner, 1111 Brickell Office LLP.

According to Baker McKenzie's Web site, updated Feb. 28, the firm, established in 1949, has 66 offices in 36 countries with 3,297 qualified attorneys. In 2001, the firm provided significant representation to more than half of Fortune's Global 500.
