Wackenhut Corrections' new 35,668-sf offices are at 621 NW 53rd St., Suite 700 in the One Park Place office building within the Arvida Park of Commerce. The company signed a 10-year lease there, which is valued at more than $8.2 million, or about $23 per sf. The property owner is Canpro Investments Ltd., based in Montreal.

"Wackenhut Corrections has shared offices with our former parent company, The Wackenhut Corp., since our inception in 1984," George C. Zoley, chairman and CEO of Wackenhut Corrections, says in a statement. "Our relocation is a keystone event of the evolution of our corporation." About 100 employees are in Wackenhut Corrections' new headquarters.

WCC provides correctional and detention management services, medical and mental health rehabilitation services, prisoner transportation services, electronic monitoring for home detainees and other diversified services to local, state and federal government agencies around the world. The company currently provides services to facilities in the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, Wales, South Africa and New Zealand.
