ABINGTON, PA-ALDI, the international discount grocery chain, has leased the 26,500-sf former Drug Emporium property at 925 Easton Rd. in Montgomery County. This will be the 43rd ALDI unit in the state. Glen Marvin of Mt. Laurel, NJ-based Metro Commercial Real Estate Inc. negotiated the deal for the grocer.

The ALDI concept calls for a limited selection of most-used grocery items, merchandised under private label at deep discounts. Its stores typically carry 700 products, compared with the more than 25,000 carried by a conventional grocery store.
