KitchenEtc Takes 3,000 SF at Former Montgomeryville Kmart

MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA-KitchenEtc continues its ambitious plans for the GreaterPhiladelphia area. The Exeter, NH-based housewares retailer inked a 3,000-sflease at Airport Square Shopping Center in Montgomeryville, PA. Meanwhile,Baja Fresh take-out, dine-in restaurants are also headed this way.

The KitchenEtc lease leaves 21,000 sf of a former 24,000-sf Kmart at AirportSquare still available for lease. An affiliate of Boston-based TA AssociatesRealty owns the 265,000-sf Airport Square on Rte. 309 and Upper State Rd.,across from Montgomery Mall. Airport Square is anchored by Best Buy, Borders,Marshall’s and Toys ‘R Us. This will be KitchenEtc’s 18th store. Itcurrently operates units in nine Eastern states.

A KitchenEtc store recently opened on Kirkwood Highway in nearby Wilmington,DE. Plans are reportedly underway for an additional eight stores in theGreater Philadelphia marketplace.
