The Haines City Economic Development Council confirms it found the structure at 2801 US 17-92 after Technology Research Consultants Inc. officials spread the word it was looking for a location along the high-tech corridor between Tampa and Orlando for a site to build $2 million worth of gyroscopes for the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command. The gyroscopes are for the navigation systems used in the UH-60 Blackhawk military helicopters.

January Dennison, president and founder of the five-year-old firm, couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline to learn of her growth plans at the new site. Technology Research Consultants will receive a $180,000 tax-incentive package from the Florida Qualified Target Industry program for opening its new plant.
