The new construction will add 7,000 sf to the John Portman-designed hotel's existing 125,000 sf of meeting space in Downtown's Peachtree Center. The hotel has 48 meeting rooms. The number of breakout rooms will rise to 13 from eight with the North Hall gaining three permanent meeting rooms that will be renamed the International Level. The exhibit area totals 37,000 sf.

According to marketing director Gary Hughes, the two-tower hotel caters strongly to meeting planners, drawn to the property by its proximity to the Georgia World Congress Center, Phillips Arena, Atlanta Civic Center and the Georgia Dome.
