The new employee, Josh D. Vasbinder, has left his post at Grubb & Ellis' Denver, CO office to work with BRE Commercial's office properties group. Among its many responsibilities, this team assesses market conditions, conducts lease rate profiles and performs lease absorption studies for various San Diego market areas.

While with Grubb & Ellis, Vasbinder represented companies that generated transactions resulting in excess of $1 million and also developed a specific territory consisting of 25 million sf of office space. He was recognized for his performance in November and December of 2002, when Grubb & Ellis named him as top 10 broker of the month.

The addition of Vasbinder is the latest signal of BRE Commercial's significant growth over the past year or so. In 2002, the company hired several top-performing brokers, including president/CEO John Frager, away from national firms like CB Richard Ellis and Grubb & Ellis. Since then, the firm has continued to add to its employee base, merging with A.W. Arendsee this past February and adding Bryce Aberg and Robert E. Zolezzi to its industrial properties group just last month.
