WHEATON, MD-Development of The Montgomery at Wheaton Metro, a 243-unit luxury apartment complex, has begun with the recent groundbreaking on the $33 million project that is expected to help revitalize the area. The Bozzuto Group and The New York State Teachers' Retirement System's The Apartment Alliance Separate Account are behind the development of the project, which is the first endeavor for TAASA.
Situated on an urban infill site, The Montgomery at Wheaton Metro will share a six-acre parcel with another unrelated development in the pipeline called The Brownstones at Wheaton Metro. In addition to the 243 apartments in a five-story structure, the Montgomery will also feature a club room, fitness center and business center. Parking for the Montgomery will also be a shared entity; an existing office structure and the new apartment complex will both have access to a five-story parking structure.
The first apartments are expected to be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2004.
