Window and Door Maker Makes $4.7M Relocation

ROCKY MOUNT, VA-Wood and vinyl window and door manufacturer MW Manufacturers Inc. has decided to expand its Lineal Technologies division by relocating its facility from Roanoke to a 100,000-sf building in Rocky Mount. The company, which is the largest employer in the small town with a staff of about 950, is spending $4.7 million on the relocation endeavor. The move and expansion will also create an additional 60 jobs.

“It is our intention to partner with a locale that supports our efforts to grow as a business and to add value to the community,” MW president and CEO Michael P. Haley says. “The Town of Rocky Mount, Franklin County and the Commonwealth of Virginia have demonstrated they share these objectives and were a major influence in our decision to relocate our Lineal division within Virginia.”
