According to the agreement, which runs through July 2005, Environmental Business Services will do consulting work as needed at various school sites and administration facilities located throughout San Diego County. The company will provide a wide spectrum of services, including asbestos pre-lease surveys, limited hazardous materials pre-lease screening, six-month periodic surveillances, three-year reinspections and reassessments, operation and maintenance program management, air clearance and monitoring, work observation, indoor air quality concerns and training. The firm will be paid on a project-by-project basis.

Daniel Johnson is acting as principal-in-charge for Environmental Business Solutions, with California Certified Asbestos Consultant Ryan Marcos serving as project manager. Bill Carpenter, SDCOE's manager of maintenance and operations, is providing oversight on behalf of the Office of Education.
