A grand opening for the hotel is set for May 20. It is situated in a resort-style setting on 22 acres in the rapidly growing Kendall area of South Miami.

The Radisson Kendall hotel's guestrooms include 48 one- and two-bedroom suites with fully outfitted kitchens. Standard rooms total more than 600 sf. Hotel amenities include a jacuzzi, fitness facilities, an outdoor pool, two lighted tennis courts and a restaurant, Paradise Bar & Grill. The hotel also has about 5,000 sf of meeting space.

"This is our first contract with the Kendall ownership group, and we look forward to building a long-term relationship," John Emery, president and chief operating officer of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, says in a statement. "Based on our knowledge of the Florida market and our experience managing Radisson properties, we are confident that we can help this unique property quickly achieve a leadership position in its market.
