The probation office occupies suite 500, a 15,000-sf space that stands at 303 H St. Roel has built out new office space here, as well as reception and interview areas for the tenant. The project has incurred a total cost of $750,000.

Donald Kramer of San Diego-based Malibu Development served as the construction manager, while Ingrid Van Zant of Ware Malcomb, which is also based in San Diego, worked as the interior design. Developed by Mountain West Properties, Gateway Chula Vista is a mixed-use property slated to encompass 81,000 sf of retail space and 277,508 sf of office space. Phase I of the complex opened in April 2002 and is currently 92% leased, while Phase II is scheduled for an October 2003 build-out. The project was planned as a three-building campus, with the first facility encompassing five stories and 102,259 sf. The second and third buildings are designed to rise six stories each and contain more than 240,000 sf combined. In addition, the complex also features a five-tiered parking structure.
