Bureau of Indian Affairs Makes a Home at Corporate Oaks One

HERNDON, VA-The US Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Indian Affairs has signed on to occupy nearly 61,000 sf in the Corporate Oaks One building. The Bureau committed to a 10-year lease agreement with property manager Metro Management Services LLC, which acted on behalf of property owner NVCommercial. Financial terms of the deal have not been released, but according to Delata Associates, the average effective lease rate for space in the Reston/Herndon office market is $22.25 per-sf.

Located in the heart of the Dulles Corridor, Corporate Oaks One carries the address of 625 Herndon Parkway and sits near its 80,000-sf sister property, Corporate Oaks Two. NVCommercial developed the two-story structure in 1985 and conducted a major renovation of the building in 1999, bringing it up to date as far as high-tech accommodations are concerned. The space had previously served as home to VeriSign until the company vacated the offices last December.
