Henkel had previously leased space in Triad as well as space at 2500 HorizonDrive, according to Walter Czarnecki of the Philadelphia-area office ofInsignia/ESG, who led the tenant's negotiating team. "After searching theentire market and researching over 80 alternatives, Henkel decided to stayand expand its location in the Triad Building. Combining the two locations willprovide Henkel with significant savings in operational costs," he said.
Cranford, NJ-based Mack-Cali Corp. acquired the 174,124-sf, class-A Triadproperty in mid-December 2002 for $26.3 million, or $151 per sf. At thetime, it was 90% leased to just eight tenants, including Henkel.
Henkel is a worldwide supplier of consumer brands in laundry and home care,cosmetics and toiletries, and consumer and craftsmen adhesives. It operatesin more than 75 countries.
