WASHINGTON, DC-Interstate Hotels & Resorts–which, with over 400 hotels throughout the US and Canada, is at the head of the class of the nation's independent hotel management firms–has brought in hotel real estate insider C.A. Anderson to join its acquisitions and development team in the role of senior vice president. Anderson, along with four other Interstate vice presidents and directors, will focus on bringing in new management contracts and cultivating relationships with potential development partners.

Anderson, most recently with Cornerstone Real Estate Advisors, and comes to Interstate with nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Interstate's effort to beef-up its development and acquisitions team is indicative of the company's plans for the near future.

“Over the next few quarters, we expect the hotel real estate market to become much more dynamic and we intend to be an active player, primarily through joint ventures,” explains company chief investment officer Steve Jorns. “We currently are in discussions with several interested investment groups.”
