The law firm is taking about 35% more space than it did at the nearby Republic Plaza, where it was one of the original tenants. It represents one of the largest leases signed downtown so far this year.

The new space can handle up to 106 attorneys. And CommonWealth Partners, which owns the building at 1700 Lincoln St., is working with the law firm to accommodate future growth. The firm has the opportunity to more than double its initial space.

The reception area includes a high definition plasma screen TV displaying up-to-the-minute business headlines. Conference facilities include built-in video and teleconferencing capabilities, ceiling-mounted projectors and touch-panel screens.

Workspaces are ergonomically designed, there are break rooms on each floor, and there's a wellness/mother's room for staff to have a private place to rest or for breast-feeding moms.

"This move gives us space that is highly productive and efficient," says Linda Rockwood, Denver Administrative Partner Faegre & Benson. "We have a particular focus on adding value through technology, and now we are able to offer a strong technological infrastructure."

Holly Proctor, director of leasing for CommonWealth, says she is thrilled that Faegre & Benson chose their buildings. "Adding such a prestigious law firm to our list of tenants further solidifies Wells Fargo Center as one of the most desirable office locations in Denver."

Liberry-Greenfield acted as broker and project manager. The Liberty-Greenfield team included Bruce Johnson, Mark Nealon and Megan Walsh. Acquilano Leslie was the architect and Concept Structures was the contractor.
