Littlewoods Home Shopping is to relocate its headquarters to Estuary Commerce Park in the Speke Halewood SIA. The first being the listed Hangar 2, at the Aerodrome, the former Speke Airport complex, which will be fitted out to create 115,000 sf of office space. An additional 75,000 sf of accommodation will be created in a new development on the adjacent plot.
Meanwhile, JCM Media is to relocate from its Art Deco building in Edge Lane in the Eastern Approaches SIA to Whiston. Littlewoods has agreed to dispose of the building to enable Liverpool Land Development Company to bring forward proposals for its creative re-use.
Ray O'Brien, Chairman of Liverpool Land Development Company, said, 'The letting of Hangar 2 and the new development on the adjacent site, represents a major milestone in the continuing success of the Estuary Commerce Park and marks the completion of the award winning Aerodrome project at the former Liverpool Airport complex, which already features a four star Marriott Hotel and a David Lloyd Leisure Centre. We are delighted that a company of Littlewoods' stature is re-affirming its commitment to Liverpool. This represents a significant jobs boost to the Speke Halewood area.'
